I was sent this link recently that shared a story about Howell, New Jersey where they are waiting on hurricane Irene to come home and roost, and a local Best Buy there that is working hard to gouge people in need. This article goes to show that the Best Buy in question is selling 24 packs of water at an astonishing $40.56! That’s an insanely high inflated price, at a time when (as the article writer says, to which I agree) we should be working together to help one another, not fleece our fellow man in any way possible.
I knew Best Buy was run by a bunch of crooks, but this takes the cake. Heck, I didn’t even know they sold water (they don’t in my home town), but I think they will sell anything if it means turning a buck. Check out the original article for information and updates, I don’t want to steal their thunder, but this was one thing that had to be shared. Just another notch in my hate stick for Best Buy. Why do all big corporate companies also have to be jerks?
